Article On Troy Win Over Warrenton

    Here is an article from the Suburban Journals on the Boys Basketball team's second win of the season, coming against Warrenton earlier this week.

Game Highlights:
  • Richard Rose scored 15 for the Trojans leaving him 19 points from 1,000. The next game is at TBHS this Monday night against St. Dominic. It is the opening game for the host team in the People's Bank Tournament.


  • Two other Trojans also scored in double figures. Kent Rau had 14 and Craig Bals had 11.

    Weimann Has Big Night in Miners Win

        Shea Weimann had 14 points and 7 rebounds in a 76-60 University of Missouri-Rolla win on Monday night against the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Weimann is averaging 10.6 points and 4.6 rebounds a night for the 3-2 Miners. He is also 5-11 from behind the arc on the season. The Miners will open their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule tonight against Saint Joseph's, the defending Conference chamipion.

    Trojanettes Open Troy Tournament with a W

        The Trojanette basketball team opened their season and the Troy Tournament with a 46-25 win over Hannibal. Freise and Peasel each had 11 points to lead Troy.

        Richard Rose goes into tonight's contest at Warrenton High School needing just 34 points to crack the 1,000 point plateau. His 27 points in the season opener lead the #10 Trojans to a 69-63 upset win over the Hazelwood Central Hawks, ranked #5 in the Large Schools Post-Dispatch poll. Rose would become the 27th Troy basketball player overall to reach that plateau, boys or girls. Hunter Beckman holds the record for most points in his Troy career with 2,152 points.

    TBHS Alumni Update-Shea Weimann

        Shea Weimann had 13 points and was 2-2 from behind the arc, but the UMR Miners fell 98-49 to Missouri Western on Nov. 17. Weimann also had 11 points recently as the Miners evened their season record at 2-2 with a 64-60 win over Lincoln on Nov. 25.

    Troy over Hazelwood Central 69-63

        The Boys Basketball team started their season off right with a tight 69-63 win over the Hazelwood Central Hawks on Tuesday night in Troy. The Trojans kept Hawk standouts Marvin McNutt and Ramone Fisher to 10 and 6 points respectively. Sam Pearson kept the Hawks in the game with his 33 points. Troy was paced in the scoring department by Richard Rose with 27. Rose now needs 34 to reach the 1,000 point mark. Craig Bals added 22 points to go along with his 8 rebounds

    Perkins, Weimanns Playing College Ball



        Three TBHS graduates are playing college ball this season in the State of Missouri. Brock Perkins, a Senior at Columbia College in Columbia, MO, is the leading scorer for the 2-3 Cougars with 11 points per game. Shea and Corey Weimann are both playing for the University of Missouri-Rolla Miners. Shea, a Senior, averaged 7.5 points and 5 rebounds in the two Miners' exhibition games this season. Corey, an '06 TBHS grad, had 4 points and 2 rebounds against Arkansas State in 5 minutes of playing time.
